Overview: The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This hands-on role involves advanced troubleshooting (L1/L2/L3), ensuring high availability, performance, and security of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and Wireless technologies. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise networking, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to guide network operations with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage enterprise-wide network operations with proven expertise in L1/L2/L3 troubleshooting for LAN, WAN, Wireless, and SD-WAN.
  • Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst & Nexus switches, Cisco ISR/ASR routers, and wireless controllers/APs.
  • Handle wireless deployments (Cisco, Aruba, Extreme, Meraki), including code upgrades, AP onboarding, client authentication, guest access, and WLC troubleshooting.
  • Administer Cisco ISE 802.1x, Cisco DNAC, and SD-Access technologies.
  • Deploy and manage Aruba/SilverPeak SD-WAN and troubleshoot traffic routing/failover across MPLS, VPLS, P2P, and ISP circuits (ATT, COX, Starlink).
  • Support and troubleshoot Infoblox DNS/DHCP and Amazon Route53 DNS services.
  • Manage and maintain A10 & F5 load balancers, including VIP troubleshooting and certificate renewals.
  • Lead cloud network deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP), including Meraki switch provisioning, templates, and configurations.
  • Perform IOS upgrades, VLAN configurations, routing protocol (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) management, and build device configurations from scratch.
  • Monitor and maintain network performance using tools like SolarWinds, Wireshark, Debugging, EEM, Python, Automation.
  • Maintain 100% uptime for all critical network devices by developing resilient designs and conducting failover testing.
  • Document network topologies, configurations, and create support documentation for systems and applications.
  • Ensure compliance with network policies, ITSM, and ITIL best practices.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide advanced technical guidance to the network team.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 12+ years’ experience in enterprise network administration with exposure to Datacenter Networking and Software-Defined Networks.
  • Proven expertise in network engineering, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong working knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols, routing (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and modern enterprise security practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Extreme, Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki technologies.
  • Experience in cloud networking (AWS VPCs, Azure VNets, GCP Networking) and hybrid connectivity.
  • Ability to work independently and lead teams in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Cisco Certifications: CCNP, CCIE (preferred).
  • ITIL V4 / ITSM-related certifications.
  • Six Sigma or related process improvement certifications (good to have).
