Role: Senior .NET Developer/Architect
Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid – 2-3 days onsite, Wednesdays mandatory)
Duration: 3+ months
Pay Rate: $70 to $75
Summary: We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer / Architect to lead the design, development, modernization, and integration of enterprise tax applications supporting a large public sector organization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing scalable .NET solutions, integrating legacy and modern systems, and working across enterprise application architectures. This role requires hands-on development along with architectural leadership, ensuring high-quality, secure, and maintainable solutions.
Must Have: C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, Enterprise Application Architecture, SQL Server & DB2, CICS Gateway Integration, REST APIs & Enterprise Integration Patterns
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core
- Experience designing enterprise application architecture and integration solutions
- Strong experience with SQL Server and DB2
- Experience integrating with legacy systems through CICS Gateway
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, Web Services, and enterprise integration patterns
- Experience with Windows-based enterprise applications
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
- Experience performing code reviews and mentoring development teams
- Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience modernizing legacy enterprise applications
- Experience working in government or public sector environments
- Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments
