Overview: The Client is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead a short-term initiative evaluating alternatives to our current event management platform, Eventbrite. The ideal candidate will have experience with event management software, stakeholder engagement, and vendor analysis. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with AB 488, improving integration with Salesforce, and supporting our organization’s event and marketing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead discovery sessions with internal stakeholders across departments to understand event types, registration/payment needs, and reporting requirements
  • Identify challenges with the current Eventbrite solution, especially in areas like:
  • AB 488 compliance for donation-based tickets
  • Integration with Salesforce
  • Managing multiple-session events
  • Marketing data capture and attendee communication
  • Research and evaluate alternative event management solutions
  • Assess features, integration capabilities, cost structures, and vendor support
  • Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Deliver a final vendor selection report with clear justifications

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in evaluating or implementing event management software
  • Strong understanding of registration, payment, donation compliance, and email communications in an event context
  • Familiarity with Salesforce integrations and marketing data workflows
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder interviewing, and report writing skills
  • Experience in nonprofit or multi-program environments is a plus
