Role: Project Manager Cabling and Ethernet
Duration: 6+ Months
Location: Based in CA (expected to travel different sites within the State)
Rate: $70 to $75/hour
Overview: Our client has contractors who are laying out Cables (Ethernet/Wi-Fi) etc. Need a PM who can manage the different Subcontractors and create reports. Previous experience in a similar environment would be a plus. Need someone strong with Excel and managing projects. 10-20% travel to various sites in CA.
Skills Requirement:
- Background from the Layer 1 Support Company – Some Examples – CommScope, CISCO, AT&T, Juniper, Equinix, Digital Reality
- Must have strong experience in the Infrastructure Cabling concept
- Experience in Network Deployment on Layer 1 and Layer 2
- A MUST Experience on all three Layers
- Layer 1 – Cabling Experience – Ethernet cables (e.g., Cat5e, Cat6), fiber optic cables, and connectors like RJ45 for Ethernet.
- Layer 2 – Switching – Ethernet switches, data link layer, data framing, error detection, and media access control (MAC) addressing
- Layer 3 – Routing – Routers, IP Address, data packets
