Role: Project Coordinator/Project Planner
Location: Remote (U.S.)
Duration: 6+ Months
Pay Rate: $50 to $55
Overview: We are seeking a Project Coordinator / Junior Project Manager to support a Senior Project Manager on a large-scale Talent Management Systems implementation. This role will focus on day-to-day project coordination, tracking, and documentation, enabling the Senior PM to focus on strategic program leadership. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools such as Planview, Smartsheet, or similar, and the ability to manage schedules, follow-ups, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Project Manager on large, complex project initiatives
- Maintain and update project schedules, timelines, and deliverables
- Track budget adherence and project progress metrics
- Create and maintain project documentation aligned with EPMO standards
- Coordinate across teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables
- Follow up with stakeholders and track action items and dependencies
- Assist in risk identification, issue tracking, and mitigation planning
- Prepare status reports, dashboards, and project updates
- Support test, deployment, and execution tracking activities
- Act as a backup to the Senior Project Manager when required
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in Project Coordination / Project Management
- Hands-on experience with PPM tools such as:
- Planview
- Smartsheet
- MS Project / Clarity / Jira (or similar)
- Strong experience in:
- Schedule tracking & reporting
- Stakeholder follow-ups & coordination
- Project documentation & status reporting
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and dependencies
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience working in cross-functional / matrix environments
