Role: Network Engineer (Aruba Switch Expert with ClearPass Experience)

Pay Rate: $60-$70
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with deep expertise in Aruba switches and ClearPass to design, implement, and maintain our enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Aruba switching environments along with ClearPass for secure network access control (NAC). This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage Aruba switch configurations (CX, AOS-Switch) for high-performance LAN environments.
- Implement and maintain Aruba ClearPass for AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting), policy enforcement, and endpoint profiling.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to switching, VLANs, routing, and security policies.
- Optimize network performance through monitoring, capacity planning, and QoS configurations.
- Integrate ClearPass with other security solutions (RADIUS, TACACS+, LDAP, SAML) for seamless authentication.
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce NAC (Network Access Control) policies and compliance.
- Automate network tasks using Python, Ansible, or scripting tools for efficiency.
- Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Provide Level 3 support for escalated network incidents and outages.
- Stay updated with the latest Aruba technologies, certifications, and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on Aruba switches and ClearPass.
- Strong hands-on experience with Aruba CX/AOS-Switch CLI and GUI management.
- Expertise in Aruba ClearPass for policy management, guest access, and device onboarding.
- In-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN, VLANs, STP, VRF, OSPF, BGP, and network security.
- Experience with RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X, and certificate-based authentication.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Aruba Central, SolarWinds, Wireshark).
- Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Ansible) for automation (preferred).
- Aruba certifications (ACMX, ACCP, ACSP) are a strong plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SD-WAN, wireless (Aruba Wi-Fi), and cloud networking.
- Knowledge of firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet) and Zero Trust security.
- Previous work in enterprise or data center environments.
