Role: Information Systems Analyst
Location: San Leandro, CA (Hybrid, 1 day/week)
Duration: 3 to 6 months Contract to Hire
Pay Rate: $45 to $50
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Information Systems Analyst (ISA) to provide technical expertise in data management, optimization, and monitoring of data retrieval, storage, and distribution. This role focuses on creating data pipelines, reporting solutions, visualizations, and analytical insights to support leadership, stakeholders, and consumers across departments. The ISA will also be responsible for end-to-end data lifecycle management, including data acquisition, modeling, integration, visualization, and predictive analytics, while ensuring data quality, accuracy, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and mine relevant data sources and datasets (structured and unstructured).
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrations to support large and complex data volumes.
- Perform data modeling, schema design, and dimensional data modeling.
- Build algorithms and models to analyze big data, clean and validate datasets, and improve data quality.
- Design and implement dashboards, reports, and visualization tools to support decision-making.
- Analyze data trends and patterns to deliver actionable insights.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to implement analytical models into production systems.
- Evaluate emerging technologies for data storage, management, and analytics.
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on effective use of data for strategic insights.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and ensure resolution of data integrity concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in data management, reporting, or analytics.
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare, public sector, informatics, or performance management preferred.
- Strong expertise in SQL and database development.
- 3+ years of experience with one or more programming languages: .Net, C#, Python, SQL, Java.
- 2+ years of experience in data schema design and dimensional data modeling.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with predictive forecasting and modeling.
- Knowledge of business intelligence (BI) tools and data visualization platforms.
- Familiarity with modern data storage and pipeline technologies.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and provide proactive recommendations to stakeholders.
