Role: Documentum Developer
Location: Remote (PST)
Duration: 12+ Months
Pay Rate: $70 to $80
Position Overview: The client is seeking an experienced Documentum Developer to configure and customize the OpenText Documentum Product Suite 24.4, including D2 Classic and SmartView. The contractor will collaborate with internal teams to deliver complex workflows, integrations, SAP content services configuration, and custom development aligned with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and customize OpenText Documentum 24.4 D2 Classic and SmartView UIs
- Develop custom jobs and complex workflows, including custom email templates
- Configure and support Content Services for SAP and Archive Services for SAP, including replication and link jobs
- Implement and integrate 3rd party solutions using REST API, DFC, Documentum Connectors (Office 365, SharePoint Online, DocuSign)
- Collaborate with technical teams to support upgrade, customization, and deployment tasks
- Produce clear and concise technical documentation
Mandatory Requirements:

- 8+ years of experience as a Documentum Developer with OpenText
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- D2 Classic (2+ years) and SmartView (recent version, 2+ years)
- OTDS, Document Search, Documentum Administrator, Content Server
- Java, JSP, JavaScript, Apache Tomcat, DFC, JMS
- Workflows/Workflow Manager, Composer, Dar Installer
- REST API, SQL, DQL
- Proven experience (last 2 years) in:
- Writing custom content server and method server jobs
- Building complex workflows with custom notifications
- Content Server upgrade experience (21.x or above)
- Installation, upgrade, and configuration of Content Services for SAP / Archive Services for SAP 16.x+
- Excellent technical documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and collaborate effectively in a team
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SAP ECC 6 / S4 HANA Documentum Integration, ESB WebMethods, Content Rendition Server
- Experience with DQMan, PowerShell, and RHEL scripting
- Familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.x, Azure DevOps, Oracle Database, and performance tuning
- Experience with Documentum Mobile / Smart Device Support
- Documentum Developer Certification
- Exposure to Captiva / Core Capture Scanning Software
