Role: Administrative Assistant
Location: Martinez, CA (Onsite 5 days)
Duration: 3+ Months
Pay Rate: $25 to $30
Overview: We’re looking for assistance in our Administrative Services Division’s Records Section. The person would be trained to provide records assistance to Department staff and the public. The person should have excellent computer skills and be comfortable providing customer service and researching and analyzing documents.
Typical Tasks:
- Locates and provides the public with engineering maps
- Indexes and files subdivision, minor subdivision and survey maps
- Assists Public Works staff in locating documents, including subdivision maps, right-of-way maps, road history, improvement plans, easements and annexations
Knowledge of:
- Adobe Pro
- Google Earth
- Laserfiche, an electronic management system (preferred, but not required)
- Microsoft 365
Ability to:
- Maintain logs and records
- Read and understand technical descriptions
- File and research documents
