Role: Automation Test Case Engineer
Location: Oakland/San Francisco Bay Area (Hybrid – Minimum 20% on-site)
Duration: 6+ months
Pay Rate: $50 to $60
Overview: We are seeking a Automation Test Case Engineer with 8+ years of experience to lead and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation tools and a collaborative spirit to work with global development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test cases using Micro Focus UFT.
- Collaborate with global development and QA teams to define test strategies and improve test coverage.
- Revise and optimize existing automation scripts to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Manage test artifacts and progress through Jira, ensuring traceability and defect tracking.
- Prepare test documentation and maintain detailed test reports using Excel.
- Participate in code reviews, test planning, and status meetings.
- Ensure test execution meets project timelines and quality standards.
Required Skills:
- 5 to 8+ years of experience in automation test case development and execution.
- Proficiency with Micro Focus UFT, Jira, and Excel.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Preferred/Optional Skills: Experience with mainframe testing and batch job testing is a plus.
