Role: IT Project Manager III
Location: South San Francisco, CA (3 days onsite/week)
Duration: 6+ months
Pay Rate: $100 to $110

Overview: Support the Director of GenAI Applications with day-to-day coordination across internal engineering teams and external partners. The role keeps delivery work organized, documented, and visible so that technical leads can focus on architecture and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the delivery plan, milestones, dependencies, actions, risks, and decisions across workstreams.
  • Coordinate follow-ups, handoffs, and open items across internal engineering teams and external partners.
  • Work closely with the Director of GenAI Applications to keep priorities, ownership, timelines, and blockers clear and documented.
  • Work with the Technical Program Manager to provide concise, accurate updates from the delivery teams and escalate issues that need leadership attention.
  • Create and maintain Confluence documentation for technical solutions, workflows, architecture decisions, interfaces, dependencies, and operating processes.
  • Translate approved requirements and technical discussions into clear Jira stories, subtasks, and testable acceptance criteria with the relevant technical owners.
  • Keep Jira and Confluence aligned so that scope, decisions, current status, ownership, and completion evidence are easy to find.
  • Support backlog refinement, planning, demos, release readiness, and acceptance tracking; identify gaps early and bring them to the appropriate lead.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating software delivery across multiple engineering teams and external partners.
  • Strong Jira and Confluence skills, including story creation, backlog organization, technical documentation, dashboards, and traceability.
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation and testable acceptance criteria.
  • Working understanding of software architecture, APIs, data flows, cloud services, environments, testing, and release processes.
  • Strong organization, written communication, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Comfort working across business, product, engineering, data and AI, platform, security, and vendor teams, including global teams and time zones.
  • Preferred: experience with enterprise software, AI or machine-learning applications, distributed systems, or cloud platforms.
