Role: GenAI Engineer (Orchestration)
Location: South San Francisco, CA (3 days onsite/week)
Duration: 6+ months
Pay Rate: $70 to $75
Focus: Orchestration, Capability Discovery and Reusable Skills
Overview: The goal is to build an enterprise GenAI application layer that understands what the user is asking, captures relevant screen and workflow context, and passes a well-structured request to existing agents and data services. The engineer will implement routing and agent chaining, manage reusable tools and skills, and turn returned results into grounded narratives, tables, charts and consistent response payloads. The structured data query capability already exists; this role builds the application logic and contracts around it.
Must Have: Python/TypeScript Backend, Agent Orchestration, Tool Calling & Multi-Agent, API/JSON Schema Design, AWS Bedrock & AgentCore, GenAI Workflow Routing
Minimum Capabilities:
- Strong Python or TypeScript backend engineering experience
- Production experience with agent orchestration, tool calling, workflow routing and multi-agent chaining
- Strong API and schema design skills, including structured JSON input and output contracts
- Experience combining user intent, conversation history, screen context and filters into downstream agent requests
- Experience transforming agent results into narratives, tables, charts, citations and consistent application responses
- Hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI services with AWS, Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore
- Ability to independently deliver tested, production-ready code with minimal guidance
Preferred:
- Experience building capability registries, agent and tool catalogs, workflow skills or discovery services
- Experience with MCP and API-first GenAI applications
- Experience building analytics applications on top of existing semantic-layer or data-query agents
