Role: Senior Product Manager – Policy Administration (Insurance Domain)
Location: Pleasanton, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6+ Months
Pay Rate: $85 to $90
Overview: We are seeking a Senior Product Manager with deep expertise in Policy Administration systems, specifically within Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance and Workers’ Compensation. This is a functional, domain-heavy role requiring a strong understanding of the policy lifecycle and premium drivers, including, how claims, payroll, and audits impact policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for Policy Administration systems
- Drive enhancements across the policy lifecycle (Quote → Bind → Issue → Endorse → Renew/Cancel)
- Collaborate with stakeholders on workers’ compensation, claims, payroll, and audit workflows
- Translate business needs into product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Ensure alignment between policy, claims, payroll, and audit systems
- Analyze and optimize premium calculation logic and policy workflows
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and audit requirements
- Act as a functional SME for Workers’ Compensation process
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5–10 years of experience as a Product Manager in the insurance domain
- Strong expertise in Policy Administration systems (P&C / Workers’ Compensation)
- Deep understanding of:
- Policy lifecycle workflows
- Workers’ Compensation fundamentals
- Payroll audits and premium calculations
- Claims impact on policy and pricing
- Familiarity with key concepts such as:
- Manual Rates
- Experience Modifiers (Ex-Mod)
- Premium Audits
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar policy admin platforms
- Exposure to enterprise insurance carriers or regulatory environments
- Experience in digital transformation or modernization initiatives
