Role: Gigamon Architecture & Assessment Lead
Location: Remote (PST overlap)
Duration: 6+ Months
Pay Rate: $55 to $60

Objective: Lead a technology-only assessment of a large-scale Gigamon physical data center deployment. The focus is on documenting the current state, identifying architectural gaps, and providing strategic, vendor-neutral recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess Gigamon HC/TA series physical appliances deployed across multiple data center locations (inline and out-of-band).
  • Document what is deployed, where, and how traffic is brokered and consumed.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews to translate business and security needs into visibility requirements.
  • Evaluate traffic delivery to security tools and perform comparative analysis against alternative visibility technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Garland, others).
  • Identify gaps and provide future-state architectural recommendations aligned to best practices.
  • Deliver clear technical and executive-ready documentation.

Required Profile:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Gigamon physical appliances (HC/TA series).
  • Proven architecture and assessment experience (not implementation-only).
  • Solid understanding of inline vs out-of-band visibility architectures.
  • Consultative background with strong stakeholder-facing skills.
  • Ability to explain design rationale, not just configurations.

Preferred:

  • Gigamon Professional (GCP)
  • Experience in large consulting or advisory environments.
