Role: Monarch Technology Analyst

Pay Rate: $70 to $80
Overview: The Client is seeking experienced Monarch Technology Analyst to provide critical production support and technical expertise for Client’s Monarch ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) and OMS (Outage Management System) applications. This role requires strong IT system management and real-time control system experience, along with troubleshooting, system maintenance, and communication skills to ensure optimized performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily production support for Monarch ADMS/OMS applications to ensure uptime and stability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues (root cause analysis, documentation, prioritization, collaboration).
- Perform system maintenance, configuration management, and performance monitoring.
- Test software updates, patches, and enhancements; resolve issues during testing.
- Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide responsive Windows desktop support for Monarch application users.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation (specs, diagrams, workflows).
- Support QA by helping craft test scenarios, plans, and scripts.
- Maintain effective working relationships across diverse teams.
- Deliver structured status reports and support additional projects as needed.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering or minimum 3 years of experience (networking, security, virtual environments, Windows OS).
- 2+ years of Monarch ADMS and OMS experience (Windows OS).
Technical Requirements:
- 2+ years of electric utility experience.
- Basic GIS knowledge (Electrical Maps, electronic components).
- Experience with MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of networking/security, Windows OS, virtual environments, system integration.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with GIS data models (preferably Hexagon).
- Proficiency in Java, Python, C++, etc.
- Knowledge of developments in electrical/software industry.
- AMI (Itron) experience.
- PI (Aveva) systems experience.
- Postgres and Cassandra experience.
