Overview: We are seeking a skilled Key Management Engineer to join our team, with expertise in the architecture and tools for both symmetric and asymmetric key management, including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). This role requires experience managing cryptographic keys for applications, databases, infrastructure, including storage subsystems, and working with cloud-based tools and solutions. A solid understanding of infrastructure utilizing cryptographic keys, experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), basic development skills in Java and Python, and strong documentation and execution abilities are essential.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design/implementsymmetric & asymmetric key management solutions (PKI focus)
- Full lifecycle management: Key creation, distribution, rotation, revocation
- Secure cryptographic keysfor apps/databases/infrastructure/storage
- Cloud KMS tools: AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, Google Cloud KMS
- HSM deployment: Thales/Gemalto/SafeNet configuration & management
- Automation: Scripting in Java/Pythonfor key processes
- Compliance: NIST, ISO 27001, CIS standards adherence
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years key management/PKI architecture
- HSM hands-on experience
- Cloud KMS platform proficiency
- Java/Python scripting
- Documentation & audit readiness
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s in CS/InfoSec
- Security operations background
